I like it, so there!
I hate the NME. It makes me dislike bands because it says
they are uncool. They pick apart perfectly good music and
infect my mind with nagging doubts so i cant listen to it
properly.
It closes my mind to the huge diversity of music that is
out there.
I saw a documentry about a 50 year old used car salesman.
He listened to Robbie Williams every day to and from
work, discussing with the cameraman the hidden meanings
in the lyrics.
Its the complete ignorance of what kind of music you
are 'supposed' to like that fills me with joy. And its
not some kind of 'its cool to be uncool' ironic interest
that these people have. Its just a love for music that's
just as valid, infact more valid, than
some fad following NME reader's.
I began almost every sentence with
'it' or 'I'.
[Eh? How can a love for music be valid
or invalid? What was I thinking?]
