.The Pixies
While we're on the subject of music, i should point out that I love
the Pixies. Rock. Good tunes, Frank Black screeching, Kim Deal great
bassline [she went on to The Breeders. See her awesome bassline in 
'Canonball'. you'll recognise it]. I also like Kim's voice [see
'Gigantic']Also check out the bass/guitar intermingle/opposition
in 'Dig For Fire'
Pixies' most famous songs; 'Where is My Mind' at the end of Fight
Club. 'Tame' was on an advert for Absolut Vodka i think.

'Got hips like cinderella
Must be having a good shame
Talking sweet about nothing
Cookie i think you're Tame [and then a nice breathing bit]'

A lot of controlled chaos, a bit like Pavement [but less moping].
Kurt Cobain is quoted as saying he thought 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'
was just a Pixies rip-off.  It sounds very like 'Gouge Away'

Download/Buy _any_ of their albums (including the b-sides album).
