Watching that annoying film Dogma made me think about the
knots Catholics have tied themselves in with their
conception of a God obsessed with human law. I thought Jesus
had freed us from the Jewish enslavement to law based
religion.
The infallibility of papal 'ex cathedra' ('from the
throne') pronouncements was officially codified in 1870 and
retroactively holds for all Popes back to St Peter.
However, because no Pope before or since ever said 'I am now
making an infalliable ex cathedra pronouncement..', and
because we are all falliable in our judgement of the status
of papal pronouncements, no one knows what is
infalliable-and-universal-for-all-time-uncontradictable-by-
Popes-past-present-future and what could legitimately be
denounced as heresey by the next Pope. But here's one that
the theologians think holds from now til Judgement Day:
Pius XI, Casti Connubii, 31 Dec 1930,
'Contraceptive birth control is a grave violation of
the Law of God'
... ......... .........
Rabid anti religious propaganda.

"The evil essence of Falun Gong is
rooted in its cult doctrine, which
preaches the Falun Dafa (the Basic Law
of Wheel of the Universe) - that laymen
can, through psychological meditation,
form invisible magic wheels inside their
bodies, and with the wheels revolving,
cure their illness and eventually be
converted into some species of superman,
obtaining the magic of telepathy and
teleportation.
"...social disorder..obsessed...deserted
their families...died hoping for the
Wheel's salvation...cutting themselves
open to see whether the Wheels were
fully formed.."
